                        Enhance the skills of organists

Interactive, creative, comfortable, and valuable describe Dr. Jordan's Pro-Motion Music workshops and classes.  Topics such as organ basics, Baroque articulations, MIDI applications and the work of the church organist are presented in innovative ways.

Jeannine's various workshop and class formats from single day events to six-week classes provide a wealth of information for the participant. Organists are challenged to set goals with plans to achieve those goals as a result of each session.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jeannine, for the wonderful

presentation and concert you gave in Carson City last month. I

learned so much and have become really motivated to get back to doing

more serious organ practicing, so that I can do a better job as

organist for my own church. Have also enjoyed your CD's and music

book I purchased. And thanks for this newsletter.

Sincerely, Nancy Mielke, Carson City, NV

Good morning, Jeannine. I've been meaning to email to thank you for the workshop you did in Carson City last Saturday. You gave us a thorough tour of the new Rogers organ at Shepherd of the Sierra church. I thought that you were particularly effective at encouraging players whose musical experience is more tied to the piano than to the organ. And I found that a great many of your tips for effective organ playing are very useful. Thank you!

ATraditions for Tomorrow workshop was presented by Dr. Jeannine Jordan on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Toledo.  This workshop, sponsored by Lincoln County OMTA, was designed to introduce organ skills to pianists and to enhance the organ skills of experienced organists.  Intermediate and advanced students were welcomed and were exposed to the “workings” of an organ. Traditional organ technique, registration and repertoire were demonstrated, as well as integration of MIDI.
