Good morning, Jeannine. I've been meaning to email to thank you for the workshop you did in Carson City last Saturday. You gave us a thorough tour of the new Rogers organ at Shepherd of the Sierra church. I thought that you were particularly effective at encouraging players whose musical experience is more tied to the piano than to the organ. And I found that a great many of your tips for effective organ playing are very useful. Thank you!

ATraditions for Tomorrow workshop was presented by Dr. Jeannine Jordan on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Toledo. This workshop, sponsored by Lincoln County OMTA, was designed to introduce organ skills to pianists and to enhance the organ skills of experienced organists. Intermediate and advanced students were welcomed and were exposed to the “workings” of an organ. Traditional organ technique, registration and repertoire were demonstrated, as well as integration of MIDI. script> |
